E&I; Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Engineer to support the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and technical execution of electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial and Oil & Gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and coordinate E&I; engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, and calculations.
- Review electrical single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument hook-ups, loop drawings, and control system architecture.
- Support selection and sizing of electrical equipment and field instrumentation.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, construction, commissioning, vendors, and clients.
- Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and project meetings.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable IEC, IEEE, ISA, API, NFPA, and other relevant standards.
- Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with company HSE, quality, schedule, and technical requirements.




- Support preparation of project documentation, reports, method statements, and technical submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
- Typically, 5- 8 years of relevant E&I; experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPC, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, DCS, PLC, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
- Experience with hazardous-area installations and relevant standards is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, SLDs, instrument datasheets, cable schedules, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SPI/INtools, or equivalent is preferred.
- Solid communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
