Key Responsibilities:

- Edit and proofread Social Science content (History, Geography, Civics, EVS) for Grades 18.

- Ensure factual accuracy, age-appropriate language, and conceptual clarity.

- Align content with the latest NCERT/CBSE curriculum and educational guidelines.

- Review and validate maps, timelines, case studies, activities, and illustrations.

- Simplify complex social science concepts for better understanding of young learners.

- Guide and mentor junior editors and contribute to content development strategies.

- Coordinate with authors, designers, illustrators, and cross-functional teams.

- Review page proofs/PDFs and provide detailed correction inputs.

- Ensure high editorial quality standards while adhering to strict timelines.

- Contribute to content planning, structuring, and innovation in educational material.

Qualification





- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Science (History / Geography / Political Science / Sociology or related field).

- 5-7 years of experience in editing Social Science content in an educational publishing house, preferably for the K8 segment.

Skills Required:

- Strong editing, proofreading, and content development skills

- Excellent subject knowledge of School-level Social Science (Grades 1-8)

- Experience with AI tools and technologies is preferred.

- Solid understanding of NCERT/CBSE curriculum

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Leadership and team-handling capability

- Effective communication and coordination skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
