Job Title: Principal Software Engineer – DevOps

Role Overview

As a Principal Software Engineer – DevOps at Revent Labs, you will lead the technical vision, design scalable infrastructure, and define best practices for DevOps across multiple projects.

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a product-oriented mindset to deliver highly reliable, secure, and performant systems. You’ll mentor teams, guide architecture decisions, and drive innovation across our cloud and DevOps ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and evolve DevOps systems across multiple products and business units.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Define SLAs, high-availability strategies, and system resiliency models.
- Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security across all infrastructure layers.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to align technical strategy with business goals.

Technical Skill Set

- Kubernetes Expertise: Helm, Operators, Admission Controllers, Multi-cluster Management.
- IaC & GitOps Mastery: Terraform (advanced modules), Pulumi, ArgoCD/FluxCD automation.
- Cloud Mastery: Proven experience with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure,



or GCP).
- CI/CD Automation: Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for complex workflows.
- Scripting & System Programming: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Golang for automation, tooling, and custom CLI development.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and security best practices in cloud environments.

Soft Skills

- Robust communication and leadership skills for mentoring cross-functional teams.
- Passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.

Certification Requirement

- Relevant DevOps or Cloud Certification is mandatory (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Docker Certified Associate, Terraform Associate, or equivalent).
