Key

Responsibility

A. Product Cost Estimation
- Analyze customer RFQs, drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:

- Sheet metal components
- Tubular fabricated parts
- Welded assemblies
- Machined and fabricated sub-assemblies

• Develop should-cost models based on manufacturing processes and market benchmarks.
- Calculate material, processing, tooling, labour, overhead, packaging, and logistics costs.

B. RFQ & Commercial Support
- Lead costing activities during current business acquisition.
- Lead costing team and end to end RFQ costing.
- Coordinate with Development, Tooling, sales, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams, Suppliers.
- Support quotation preparation and customer negotiations.
- Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining target margins, Accuracy.
- Conduct timely Manufacturing feasibility with CFT teams.
- RM Revisions.

C. Cost Management & Analysis




- Develop and maintain standard costing models for products and services.
- Prepare cost estimates for new products, ECN, projects, and customer quotations.
- Analyse material, labour, and overhead costs and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Monitor actual costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
- Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, and business unit.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through:
- Design-to-cost initiatives
- VA/VE activities
- Material optimization
- Process improvements
- Alternative manufacturing methods
- Participate in productivity and profitability improvement projects.

D. Supplier & Material Cost Analysis
- Work closely with procurement teams to evaluate material pricing trends.
- Review supplier quotations and benchmark costs.
- Develop and maintain cost databases for raw materials and manufacturing processes.

E. Reporting & Analysis
- Track estimated costs versus actual manufacturing costs.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Generate profitability reports for management review.
- Maintain costing standards and estimation templates.
