About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design and Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in executing all design and engineering activities, from conceptualization to the final stages of product development. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects within the heavy engineering and railway components sector, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, managing documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting various departments including manufacturing, sales, and customer service. This role demands a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced project requirements.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Product Management. A master's degree in a related field will be considered an advantage. Candidates should have between 3 to 8 years of experience working in heavy engineering companies,



with demonstrable expertise in new product introduction, design modifications, and upgrades through production processes.

Leadership experience in managing teams and coordinating with multiple departments is essential. Candidates must also have hands-on experience in testing, prototyping, and handling complex engineering documentation, including design freeze/release, DFMEA, PPAP, and DV &

- PV testing.

Responsibilities

- Execute all design and engineering activities within the company, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Lead new design initiatives from initial concept through prototype development to final production, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
- Implement and optimize design processes and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sales, and customer service to meet design requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct research and development activities to stay current with technological advancements and industry trends.
- Maintain comprehensive design and engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Create detailed 3D models of products, components, and systems using CAD software for proposals, development, and production purposes.




- Manage all design-related documentation, including Request for Design freeze/release, DFMEA, PPAP, and design verification activities.
- Present design concepts, cost estimates, and project progress to senior management and clients, providing clear updates and insights.
- Manage customer relationships related to design and development inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and technical support.
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams to facilitate smooth product development and deployment.
