Job Summary

Aquarius Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Design Engineer – Layout & Application Design to join our Design team at Ambadwet, Pune.

The role will be responsible for preparing and releasing enquiry-stage and order-stage plant layouts, foundation drawings, silo-related designs, and associated layout documentation for batching plants and related equipment.

The position will also contribute to design standardisation, databank development, reusable design modules, and progressive automation of layout-generation processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare enquiry-stage plant layouts and costing based on customer requirements, site constraints, product configuration, and technical/commercial inputs.
- Prepare order-stage layouts and final drawing sets based on approved order configurations.
- Prepare and update standard and non-standard plant layouts.
- Prepare plot layouts, foundation layouts, foundation drawings with reactions, silo drawings, silo foundation drawings with reactions, and spares-related layout drawings.
- Ensure layouts and drawings are released within defined timelines with minimum avoidable rework.
- Interpret inputs from Sales, Design, Application Engineering, Production, Projects, Service, and Civil/Structural Consultants.
- Coordinate with civil and structural consultants for special plant requirements.
- Maintain and develop a databank/library of standard layouts, reference drawings, templates, and reusable design modules.




- Support standardisation of layout practices, drawing formats, and configurable design elements.
- Contribute to semi-automated/automated layout-generation tools, templates, and rule-based design initiatives.
- Maintain proper revision control and documentation of released drawings.
- Track assigned jobs, pending work, dependencies, and provide regular status updates.
- Provide cross-functional support for order execution, design clarifications, site constraints, and field issues related to layouts, foundations, and silo arrangements.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant drafting and layout experience in industrial equipment or plant engineering may also be considered.

Required Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience for Senior Design Engineer level.
- Experience in batching plants, concrete equipment, heavy engineering equipment, application engineering, or project layout design will be preferred.

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of plant layout preparation and site-related requirements.
- Understanding of foundation drawing requirements.
- Ability to interpret GA drawings, customer/site constraints, technical specifications, and project inputs.
- Working knowledge of silo layouts, support arrangements, and foundation requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or similar design/drafting tools, with strong 2D drafting skills.
- Understanding of drawing standardisation, modular design, and databank development.
- Basic exposure to design automation, configurable design, templates, or rule-based design logic will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word and basic document/revision control.

Compensation CTC: ₹11 LPA+ depending on expertise

Pay: Up to ₹1,100,000.00 per year
