nDatabase Administration (SQL Server & MongoDB)

n• Install, configure, and manage Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB Standalone/clusters

n• Handle database provisioning, upgrades, patching, and migrations

n• Manage both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure SQL, MongoDB Atlas)

nPerformance Tuning & Optimization

n• Optimize SQL queries, indexing, stored procedures

n• Analyze MongoDB performance using:

no Query profiler

no Indexing strategies

no Aggregation pipeline optimization

n• Troubleshoot:

no Slow queries

no High CPU/memory utilization

no Locking/blocking issues (SQL)

no Replication lag (MongoDB)

nHigh Availability & Disaster Recovery

n• SQL Server:

no Always On Availability Groups

no Failover Clustering

no Log Shipping / Replication

n• MongoDB:

no Replica Sets configuration

no Sharded cluster management

n• Manage backup & restore strategies for both platforms

n• Conduct DR drills and failover testing

n• Windows Server Cluster configuration/Installation

n• Handle production incidents, outages,



and escalations

n• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures

n• Provide support for 24x7 critical environments

no T-SQL, PowerShell (SQL Server)

no MongoDB Shell / Python / Bash

n• Automate routine DBA tasks, monitoring, alerts

no Roles, permissions, TDE encryption, auditing

n• MongoDB:

no Authentication (SCRAM, LDAP), RBAC, encryption

n• Ensure compliance with data security standards

nMonitoring & Maintenance

n• Monitor database performance using tools like:

no SQL: SSMS, Extended Events, Redgate, SCOM

no MongoDB: Ops Manager, Atlas Monitoring

n• Schedule and manage:

no Index maintenance

no DB health checks

no Capacity planning

nCollaboration & Documentation

n• Work with application teams, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

n• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and architecture documents

n• Participate in change and release management processes
