Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Governance Lead with strong enterprise-level experience in Microsoft Purview, data governance, metadata management, data quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate should be able to bridge technical data governance with business and compliance objectives and work effectively with business, IT, legal and compliance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain enterprise data governance strategies, policies and standards.
- Manage Microsoft Purview accounts, collections and RBAC.
- Design metadata repositories, business glossaries and data dictionaries.
- Implement ingestion workflows using ADF, REST APIs, PowerShell and Azure Functions.
- Define data classification rules and sensitivity labels for PII, PCI and PHI.
- Integrate governance with MIP, DLP and Insider Risk Management.
- Define data quality KPIs, dashboards and remediation workflows.
- Work with domain owners and data stewards to maintain business glossaries.
- Establish approval workflows and metadata audit processes.
- Automate governance processes using PowerShell, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
- Build dashboards for audit logs, compliance reporting and metadata coverage.
- Collaborate with business, IT, legal and compliance teams.
- Drive governance training, adoption and change management.

Mandatory Requirements Candidates must meet the following requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Management.
- 3+ years of recent hands-on Microsoft Purview experience.




- Proven experience defining and operationalizing an enterprise data governance framework.
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Purview experience covering:
- Data Map
- Unified Catalog
- Accounts & Collections
- RBAC
- Classification & Labelling
- DLP
- eDiscovery
- Compliance Manager
- Lifecycle / Records Management
- Strong knowledge of metadata management and data lineage.
- Experience with PII / PCI / PHI classification and sensitivity labels.
- Experience with at least one governance platform such as Informatica, Collibra, Atlan or IBM IG Catalog.
- Experience integrating governance with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB, Power BI and Snowflake.
- Experience automating governance using ADF, REST APIs, PowerShell, Azure Functions and/or Logic Apps.
- Experience defining data quality KPIs, dashboards and remediation workflows.
- Strong business glossary and data stewardship experience.
- Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and SOX.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, legal and compliance.
- Experience in B2B Technology, Consulting or B2B Software environments.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
