Role Purpose The D'Store Head is responsible for establishing, running, and scaling D'Store (Zoom Parts) micro-fulfilment centres for commercial truck parts across the South region. The role requires deep engagement with the commercial trucking mechanic ecosystem particularly Eicher and other commercial truck mechanics to convert their servicing activity into consistent retail parts demand, while ensuring every store operates profitably, with fast and reliable last-mile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Retail Business Development with Commercial Truck Mechanics

- Build and manage direct relationships with commercial truck mechanics, garages, and fleet workshops in each D'Store catchment area.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential mechanics (based on accumulated loyalty points, servicing volume, and vehicle footfall) for onboarding as regular D'Store customers.
- Drive conversion of unorganized/informal parts buying into structured D'Store retail purchases.
- Own the retail sales targets and revenue growth for each store under his/her charge.

2. D'Store Establishment & Network Expansion

- Lead the setup of new D'Store locations across the South region site identification (dense mechanic/customer clusters, ~10 km delivery radius), store fit-out (1,5002,000 sq. ft.), inventory planning, and go-live.
- Work with fitment/catalog, WMS, and procurement teams to ensure each new store launches with the right SKU mix (fast-moving part lines, OEM + aftermarket alternatives).
- Execute store rollouts against agreed timelines and budgets.

3. Last-Mile Delivery Excellence

- Own on-time delivery performance for every order dispatched from the D'Store.
- Manage delivery fleet planning (two-wheelers for small parts, dedicated vehicles for bulky items, and aggregator partners such as Porter)

to meet committed delivery windows.
- Track delivery TAT, resolve escalations, and continuously improve dispatch-to-delivery cycle time.

4. Technology Adoption & Training

- Train mechanics and other customers on the D'Store mobile app/ordering platform — placing orders, tracking status, checking part fitment (Year-Make-Model), and using loyalty features.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving mechanic queries related to app usage, order tracking, and catalog search.
- Drive app adoption targets among the mechanic base in each catchment.
- Provide feedback to the technology team on app/WMS gaps affecting mechanic experience.

5. Technical & Product Knowledge

- Maintain strong working knowledge of commercial truck parts (engine, brake, suspension, electrical, filters, and other quick-moving categories) across OEM and aftermarket brands.
- Support mechanics with correct part identification and fitment guidance to minimize wrong-part deliveries and returns.
- Stay current on commercial vehicle part specifications, OEM-to-aftermarket cross-references, and quality/authenticity standards.

6. Store Profitability & Operations Ownership

- Own full P& responsibility for each D'Store — sales, margins, operating costs, and inventory holding cost.
- Monitor and act on key store metrics: sales vs. target, inventory turns, fill rate, delivery cost per order, and customer retention.
- Drive cost discipline in staffing,

logistics, and inventory to ensure each store is a profitable, sustainable unit.
- Conduct periodic store-level business reviews and report performance to regional leadership.

7. Team & Vendor Management

- Recruit, train, and manage store staff, delivery personnel, and app-support resources.
- Coordinate with multi-brand vendors and suppliers to ensure part availability and manage lead times.
- Ensure quality checks and fitment verification are completed before every dispatch.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Business, or related field (Diploma with strong hands-on commercial vehicle experience also considered).
- 5–8+ years of experience in commercial truck/CV parts business, automotive retail, or dealership/distributor operations.
- Proven track record of working directly with truck mechanics, garages, or fleet workshops.
- Experience in retail store operations, P&L; ownership, or channel/distribution management preferred.
- Prior exposure to setting up or scaling retail/distribution outlets is a strong plus.

Required Skills

- Strong technical knowledge of commercial truck parts (OEM and aftermarket) and fitment.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with mechanics, garage owners, and fleet operators.
- Comfort with mobile apps/technology platforms and ability to train non-technical users.
- Strong commercial acumen — sales-driven with a clear focus on store profitability.
- Logistics/last-mile delivery planning experience.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South region locations.
- Local language proficiency (Kannada preferred, plus working knowledge of Tamil/Telugu/Hindi as applicable to region).
