About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Andor Tech (India) Pvt Ltd. This role is pivotal in securing customer Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) by designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity controls in compliance with international standards such as IEC 62443. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background, hands-on experience in operational technology environments, and a deep understanding of industrial protocols and security practices.

You will work directly on evaluating security tools, hardening systems, and deploying cybersecurity stacks that safeguard critical infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the security of energy storage solutions and enhance the resilience of industrial systems.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have between 6 to 10 years of relevant OT cybersecurity experience, demonstrating hands-on expertise in configuring Linux operating systems, deploying security agents, and executing technical security controls. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools,



penetration testing, and security analysis specific to industrial control systems (ICS) environments is essential.

A solid understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation—particularly within the Purdue Model—is required. Candidates must also have a deep knowledge of industrial messaging protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and ZMQ.

Experience with standards like NERC CIP and IEC 62443, along with scripting skills in Python and automation tools such as Ansible, will be advantageous. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As an OT Cybersecurity Engineer at Andor Tech, your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and validating security controls aligned with IEC 62443 standards, specifically IEC 62443-3-3, 4-1, and 4-2. You will map security requirements to technical controls, ensuring compliance and robustness of the energy storage systems.

Your role involves configuring and deploying security tools such as Identity & Access Management systems (e.g., Authentik integrating RADIUS, LDAP, and SAML), centralized logging solutions using Rsyslog and Wazuh, and vulnerability management tools like Tenable and Wazuh for OT-safe assessments. You will establish backup and data preservation workflows utilizing Bacula within the internal DMZ and OT zones. Endpoint hardening across various operating systems, container environments, and physical network devices will be a core aspect of your duties, following CIS Benchmarks and vendor recommendations.





Additionally, you will secure industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and ZMQ, ensuring their integrity and confidentiality.

Your role also involves conducting security assessments, developing automation scripts, and translating compliance requirements into practical security configurations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance system security, perform risk assessments, and respond to security incidents will be integral to your responsibilities.
