Job Summary

Aquarius is looking for a Costing Junior Engineer to join the Costing Department in Pune. The role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for products and projects by analysing material and conversion costs.

The candidate will work closely with the Design, Procurement, and Production teams to collect relevant data, calculate costs, maintain costing information, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for products, projects, and processes.
- Consider direct and indirect costs, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Analyse cost data to identify cost-reduction and process-optimisation opportunities.
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, and Production teams to gather data required for costing.
- Maintain and regularly update costing databases for material prices, labour rates, and overhead costs.




- Assist in planned vs. actual cost variance analysis.
- Identify areas of inefficiency and support corrective actions.
- Prepare cost-benefit analysis for potential product or process changes.
- Suggest process improvements based on cost analysis and industry best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects focused on improving cost control and manufacturing efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in cost estimation within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience in heavy machinery manufacturing or construction equipment will be preferred.
- Prior experience with ERP systems, costing software, and data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Advanced Excel, and ERP systems.
- Fluency in English and Marathi.

Work Location Primarily office-based in Pune, with occasional visits to the factory as required.

Compensation

CTC: ₹4 LPA

Pay: Up to ₹400,000.00 per year
