We are looking for a Costing Executive / Costing Engineer who has a basic understanding of mechanical products, manufacturing processes, material costing, estimation, and vendor coordination. The candidate should be comfortable with Excel, basic mathematical and mechanical calculations, and preparing accurate cost estimates.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate product and manufacturing cost estimates.
- Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) for products and assemblies.
- Calculate raw material, labour, machining, fabrication, and other production costs.
- Understand and read basic mechanical drawings and calculate material requirements.
- Perform basic mathematical and mechanical calculations required for costing and estimation.
- Research and collect raw material and product prices through the Internet and other sources.
- Check and compare raw material prices from different vendors.
- Prepare costing sheets, quotations, cost comparisons, and estimation reports.
- Coordinate closely with Sales Engineers to understand customer requirements and prepare suitable costing.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the Sales and Engineering teams.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Production departments for accurate material and process costing.
- Communicate with vendors and assist in price negotiation to achieve competitive rates.
- Compare estimated cost with actual production cost and identify cost variations.
- Maintain updated material price lists, vendor rates, BOMs, and costing records.




- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and better pricing.
- Ensure quotations and costing are prepared accurately and within the required timeline.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Costing & Estimation.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical Drawings.
- Positive understanding of basic mathematics and mechanical calculations.
- Positive knowledge of MS Excel – formulas, calculations, data entry, and basic reports.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with Internet and online resources.
- Ability to search and compare raw material and product prices.
- Basic vendor negotiation and coordination skills.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills with Sales Engineers.
- Strong interest in Costing, Estimation, Manufacturing, and Raw Material Pricing.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualification & Experience Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech / B.Com / M.Com or relevant qualification.

Experience: 1–5 years in Costing, Estimation, Quotation, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related industries.

Freshers with good Excel, mathematical, mechanical, and costing knowledge may also apply.
