Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Cost Estimator with prior experience in the crane or material handling industry. The candidate will be primarily responsible for cost estimation, tender/bid estimation, and supporting the Sales team with accurate and competitive commercial proposals.

The ideal candidate should also have a good understanding of mechanical design and engineering drawings, as this knowledge will be essential for accurately evaluating project requirements and preparing estimates.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for cranes and material handling equipment.
- Handle tender/bid estimation, including evaluation of technical requirements, BOQs, specifications, and commercial inputs.
- Study customer requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Coordinate with the Sales, Design, Production, Procurement, and Projects teams for accurate estimation.
- Assist the Sales team in preparing competitive quotations and commercial proposals.
- Evaluate material, fabrication, bought-out components, labour, and other project costs.




- Review and understand mechanical design drawings and engineering specifications.
- Support the team in cost optimization and identifying cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain estimation databases and cost records for future reference.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially viable, and submitted within deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a Cost Estimator in the Crane / EOT Crane / Material Handling / Heavy Engineering industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation and tender/bid preparation.
- Good understanding of mechanical design, fabrication drawings, and engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar design software.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight tender and quotation deadlines.

Preferred CandidateCandidates with hands-on experience in crane costing, EOT cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, material handling equipment, fabrication, and tender estimation will be preferred. Key Focus of the Role:

Cost Estimation + Tender/Bid Estimation + Sales Support, with sufficient mechanical design knowledge to understand and evaluate technical requirements.
