Co-Head of Quantitative Research | Gurugram | Systematic Hedge Fund | $300K USD, TC open

We are working with a systematic hedge fund running market-neutral equity and derivatives strategies globally. Research sits at the centre of the firm - thousands of signals, live capital, and a Gurugram office they are scaling hard. This is a producer seat with a leadership title, not a manager who used to research.

You will sit alongside the current India Head of Research and do both jobs at once: keep shipping your own alpha, and raise the quality of everyone else’s. The mandate is straightforward, more live P&L;, same standards, bigger team.

Responsibilities

- Originate, validate and deploy differentiated equity and derivatives signals that hit the live book
- Contribute directly to trading P&L; - this role is measured on production, not activity
- Co-lead the India research function: research reviews, reproducibility, hiring bar, mentoring
- Shape the research roadmap and push the work on modelling,



data and signal construction
- Scale the team without letting the quality of alpha slip

Skills / Experience

- 5 years in systematic equity and / or derivatives alpha research
- Proven live P&L; from strategies you built - they are looking for people who can defend around $20m attributable
- Deep working knowledge of signal decay, capacity, risk and overfitting
- Strong Python and fluency with modern research / ML workflows
- Comfortable as a player-coach - still in the research seat, not hiding behind a title
- Background at a serious systematic shop is a plus
- Equities, options, futures experience preferred. Crypto-only profiles will not fit

Gurugram, 4 days in office. Relocation can be staggered.
