Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer with 6–8 years of relevant experience in the design and engineering of Solar, Wind and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The candidate will be responsible for civil design activities including equipment foundations, control room buildings, substation civil works, site development, roads, drainage and other associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities1. Civil & Foundation Design

- Design and review RCC foundations for equipment and structures.
- Design foundations for transformers, inverters, BESS equipment, wind turbine auxiliary structures and other electrical equipment.
- Prepare foundation drawings, reinforcement details, sections and construction drawings.
- Review soil investigation/geotechnical reports and incorporate soil parameters into foundation design.
- Perform and review foundation design calculations considering equipment loads, wind loads, seismic loads and applicable design criteria.
- Ensure foundation designs are safe, economical and suitable for site execution.

1. Control Room & Building Design

- Design and prepare civil/structural drawings for Control Rooms, SCADA Rooms, BESS Control Rooms, Store Rooms and utility buildings.
- Prepare GA, RCC, foundation, column, beam and slab drawings.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, electrical and MEP requirements.
- Review contractor/consultant drawings and provide technical comments.
- Ensure constructability and compliance with project specifications.

1. Solar Project Civil Design

- Prepare civil design for Solar PV project infrastructure.
- Design equipment foundations, inverter/transformer foundations and associated civil structures.
- Prepare site grading, internal road, drainage and storm-water management designs.
- Coordinate civil design with module layout, inverter stations and electrical infrastructure.




- Support optimization of civil quantities and project costs.

1. Wind Project Civil Design

- Handle civil design requirements for Wind Farm projects.
- Review/design foundations and associated civil works for wind turbine infrastructure.
- Coordinate with turbine suppliers and structural consultants regarding foundation loads and design requirements.
- Design access roads, crane pads, drainage and other associated infrastructure.
- Review geotechnical and site investigation data for foundation requirements.

1. BESS Project Civil Design

- Prepare civil and structural design requirements for BESS projects.
- Design foundations for BESS containers, transformers, PCS and associated equipment.
- Design BESS control room, electrical rooms and utility structures.
- Prepare equipment layout, foundations, access roads, drainage and other associated civil infrastructure.
- Coordinate civil design with electrical, fire & safety and BESS technology teams.

1. Substation & Associated Civil Works

- Design/review civil works for 33/11 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and higher-voltage substations.
- Design transformer foundations, equipment foundations, cable trenches and fire walls.
- Prepare control room and switchyard civil layouts.
- Design roads, drains, culverts, boundary walls and other infrastructure.
- Coordinate civil designs with electrical equipment layouts.

1. Engineering & Coordination

- Prepare and review BOQs, quantity estimates and technical specifications.




- Review drawings and design calculations submitted by consultants, EPC contractors and vendors.
- Coordinate with internal Design, Electrical, Project and Construction teams.
- Resolve site-related civil design issues and provide engineering solutions.
- Conduct site visits when required.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IS Codes, project specifications and relevant standards.
- Maintain design documentation, drawing registers and revision control.
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables as per project schedules.

Software Skills
- AutoCAD – Mandatory
- STAAD.Pro – Mandatory
- ETABS / SAFE – Preferred
- MS Excel – Good working knowledge

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
- M.Tech in Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering will be an added advantage.

Required Experience
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in Civil Design/Engineering.
- Solid experience in RCC foundation and structural design.
- Experience in Control Room and Substation Civil Design.
- Experience in Solar, Wind and/or BESS projects.
- Experience with EPC companies, renewable energy developers or engineering consultants preferred.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
