Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Head HR / Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the organization's people strategy and HR function in a fast-growing IT environment.
The CHRO will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to build a high-performance, employee-centric organization, strengthen leadership capabilities, attract and retain top technology talent, and align people strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization's overall HR and people strategy aligned with business goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, founders, and executive leadership team.
- Build scalable HR systems, policies, processes, and organizational structures.
- Drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and transformation initiatives.
- Establish HR metrics, dashboards, and people analytics to support business decisions.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Develop talent acquisition strategies for technology, engineering, product, sales, and corporate functions.
- Build solid talent pipelines for critical and leadership positions.
- Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and future talent requirements.
- Strengthen employer branding and employee value proposition.
- Develop strategies for hiring and managing remote and distributed teams.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Build a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative organizational culture.
- Design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Monitor employee experience and establish mechanisms for continuous feedback.
- Lead initiatives around employee well-being, recognition, diversity, and inclusion.
- Develop effective communication and change-management programs.
4. Performance & Rewards
- Establish and continuously improve performance management systems.
- Develop compensation, incentives, bonuses, and benefits strategies appropriate for the IT industry.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and pay-equity reviews.
- Develop career progression and internal mobility frameworks.
- Link performance and rewards to organizational objectives.
5. Learning & Leadership Development
- Establish leadership development and succession planning programs.
- Build learning and development strategies for technical and non-technical employees.
- Develop high-potential and future-leader programs.
- Partner with senior management to strengthen leadership capabilities.
6. HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR operations, payroll, employee relations, HR technology, and people processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Establish effective HR policies and governance frameworks.
- Drive HR digital transformation and automation.
- Ensure effective management of remote-work policies and distributed workforce practices.
7. Organization Development & Change Management
- Lead organizational restructuring, transformation, and change-management initiatives.
- Design organizational structures that support growth and operational efficiency.
- Identify organizational capability gaps and develop action plans.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, or expansion initiatives when required.

Desired Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the IT/IT Services/SaaS/Technology sector.
- Experience leading HR for a technology organization with a significant workforce.
- Proven experience working as Head HR, CHRO, Group HR Head, VP-HR, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of technology talent markets and remote/distributed workforce models.
- Experience partnering with CEOs, founders, boards, and executive leadership.
- Strong expertise in organizational development, talent management, compensation, employee engagement, and HR transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in building HR functions and teams in high-growth organizations.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into people strategy.
- Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with HR technology, HR analytics, and digital HR transformation.
Educational Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Additional certifications in HR, organizational development, leadership, or people analytics will be an advantage.
