We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, audit, taxation, GST, financial reporting, and compliance. The selected candidate will work on a contractual basis with a Government Department and will be responsible for financial reporting, consolidation, tax compliance, GST reconciliation and advisory, audit support, and related financial and regulatory activities.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently handle financial and compliance assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and finalization of monthly Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements.
Preparation and review of consolidated financial statements and consolidation workings.
Handling statutory and internal audit assignments, including audit planning, execution, documentation, working papers, and reporting.
Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards, Ind AS, and regulatory requirements.
Managing direct and indirect tax compliance, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and related filings.
Handling GST reconciliation, including reconciliation of books with GST returns and identification/resolution of discrepancies.
Providing GST advisory and practical solutions relating to GST compliance and related matters.
Supporting GST and Income Tax assessments, notices, submissions, and related departmental proceedings.
Ensuring timely compliance with ROC, corporate law,
and other statutory and regulatory requirements, wherever applicable.
Conducting risk assessments and assisting in strengthening internal financial controls and processes.
Preparing audit documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and financial working papers.
Reviewing accounting data and transactions for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and potential risks.
Supporting financial process improvements, management reporting, and financial consulting.
Coordinating with internal teams, auditors, consultants, and relevant government/departmental stakeholders.
Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
3–5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field.
Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Ind AS, financial reporting, consolidation, and financial statement preparation.
Practical experience in Statutory Audit and Internal Audit.
Solid expertise in Income Tax, GST, TDS, and tax compliance/advisory.
Hands-on experience in GST reconciliation and GST advisory.
Good understanding of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience in preparation and finalization of monthly financial statements and Trial Balance.
Experience in consolidation preparation and finalization will be highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems such as Tally or equivalent.
