Role Description The Cad Draftsman Steel Structures will be responsible for preparing detailed CAD drawings of steel structures used in offshore and marine projects, following engineering specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design inputs from structural engineers, creating general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and connection details, and ensuring drawing accuracy and consistency across project documentation.



The role involves updating drawings based on design changes, coordinating with engineering and project teams, and maintaining organized drawing records in the company’s systems.

The Cad

Draftsman will also support quality checks on drawings, assist in material take-offs, and contribute to effective communication between design and fabrication teams. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Delhi, India.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in CAD software for steel structures, such as AutoCAD with experience preparing fabrication and assembly drawings.
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing, including joints, connections, welds, and standards relevant to offshore and marine structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications provided by structural and subsea engineers.
- Good knowledge of drafting practices, drawing management, revision control, and documentation processes in engineering projects.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, with a focus on drafting or design.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
- Prior experience in oil and gas, marine, or offshore engineering projects is highly desirable.
- Experience 1 to 5 years in similar role
