Role Description This is a full time, on-site Business Development role based in Kolkata.

The Business

Development professional will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads through online platforms and direct outreach, and support the sales pipeline from initial contact to closure. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, understanding client requirements, preparing proposals, and coordinating with internal technical teams to align solutions with client needs.



The role involves maintaining strong client relationships, providing responsive customer service, and contributing to revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling. The team member will also track performance metrics, report on business development activities, and support continuous improvement of outreach strategies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret market and business data.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal client-facing communication.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation capabilities, including experience with online platforms and prospecting tools.
- Candidates should possess Market Research skills to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential target segments.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to build trust, handle queries, and support long-term client relationships.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related role, preferably in IT or digital services.
- Understanding of software development, web and mobile technologies, or digital marketing services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field is preferred.
