About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the LedgerX product team and help transform accounting and business requirements into practical, user-friendly software solutions. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting and finance processes, along with experience in business analysis, product development, requirement gathering, documentation, and coordination with development and testing teams.

You will work closely with accountants, finance professionals, product managers, developers, designers, and QA teams to continuously improve LedgerX and build features that solve real-world business and accounting problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and analyse accounting, finance, GST, taxation, inventory, banking, payroll, andbusiness-process requirements.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders. Convert business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, workflows, and acceptancecriteria.
- Work closely with development and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Analyse existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and process improvement.
- Prepare wireframes, process flows, use cases, UML diagrams, and UX concepts wherever required. Understand and document requirements for web and mobile applications.
- Support the product team in designing intuitive and user-friendly accounting workflows.
- Coordinate with developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure requirements arecorrectly implemented.
- Review developed features against business requirements and assist in identifying gaps,



inconsistencies, andusability issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, reviews, demonstrations, and product discussions.
- Prepare and maintain product documentation, functional specifications, process documents, and requirement trackers.
- Research accounting software, industry practices, competitor products, and emerging business requirements.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of GST and accounting-related features.
- Assist project managers in monitoring requirements, priorities, dependencies, and project deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Applications, or a relatedfield.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in accounting, finance, ERP, fintech, SaaS, orbusiness software products.
- Strong understanding of accounting and business processes.
- Knowledge of GST, invoicing, receivables, payables, inventory, banking, taxation, or financial reporting will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in requirement gathering, analysis, documentation,



and stakeholder coordination.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to create user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and UML diagrams.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application development concepts.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify functional gaps and inconsistencies.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and explain them clearly to technical teams.
- Robust documentation and research skills.
