About The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Reporting & Functional Analyst to support a large-scale data transformation programme involving the migration and modernisation of data and reporting workloads from SAP systems into Microsoft Azure and Databricks. This role primarily focuses on SAP functional and data analysis rather than technical development. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of SAP business processes, underlying data, and reporting requirements across various domains such as Supply Chain Management, Finance, Procurement, Ariba, Human Resources, and SuccessFactors, among other corporate functions.

The candidate should also have a good grasp of the SAP BW workplace and SAP reporting tools such as SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Analytics Cloud. This includes knowledge of analytical reporting, dashboards, KPIs, data models, and how SAP operational data is transformed into actionable business reports. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate these into effective solutions that support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience as an SAP Reporting Analyst, SAP Functional Consultant, or in a similar role is required.



The ideal candidate will have a strong functional understanding of SAP business processes and data across areas such as Supply Chain Management, Finance and Controlling, Procurement and SAP Ariba, Human Resources and SAP SuccessFactors, and corporate management reporting. A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with SAP reporting and analytics tools, particularly SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Analytics Cloud, is essential.

The candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of SAP data, including master data, transactional data, reporting structures, and business rules. Good knowledge of the SAP BW environment and its role in enterprise data warehousing and reporting is also necessary. Robust analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills are critical to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand SAP processes, data, reports, dashboards, and analytical requirements.
- Facilitate requirements workshops across functional areas such as Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, HR, and other corporate functions.
- Translate client discussions around reporting needs into formal business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Analyze existing SAP BW, SAP BO, and SAP SAC reports, dashboards, KPIs, data models, and dependencies to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize critical reports, enhancement requests,



and opportunities for report rationalization.
- Define report calculations, filters, business rules, measures, dimensions, and expected outputs to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Support source-to-target data mapping, ensuring that business meaning and reporting logic are preserved during migration processes.
- Work closely with data architects, data engineers, developers, and reporting teams to communicate functional requirements effectively.
- Prepare test cases, test scenarios, expected results, and documentation for validation to ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
