Position: Branch Manager
Department: Operations & Business Development
Industry: International Logistics / Courier & Freight Forwarding
Location: Branch Office
Reporting To: Senior Management / Operations Head
Job Summary The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the branch, including daily operations, customer service, business development, team management, shipment coordination, and achieving branch revenue and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Operations
- Manage and supervise the complete day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Ensure timely pickup, booking, packing, documentation, dispatch, and shipment tracking.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and ensure smooth movement of shipments.
- Coordinate with international courier and logistics partners for shipment-related issues.
- Ensure proper handling of customer shipments and minimize delays, damages, and complaints.
- Maintain accurate branch records, reports, and operational documentation.
2. Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate branch staff.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure staff attendance, discipline, productivity, and compliance with company policies.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide performance feedback.
- Train employees on company procedures, customer service, and shipment processes.
3. Business Development
- Achieve monthly branch sales and revenue targets.
- Develop new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into bookings.
- Identify opportunities to increase international shipment volume.
- Visit potential customers and generate new business when required.
- Promote company services and competitive international shipping rates.
4. Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service and quick response to customer enquiries.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively update customers regarding delays or issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers.
5. Performance & Reporting
- Monitor branch-wise bookings, shipment weight, revenue, pickups, and customer growth.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly branch performance reports.
- Monitor branch expenses and operational costs.
- Analyse branch performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure achievement of assigned KPIs and targets.
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with Head Office, warehouse, documentation, accounts, CRM, and customer service teams.
- Coordinate with international courier partners regarding shipment status, customs, delivery, and RTO issues.
- Ensure proper communication between the branch and other departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, courier, freight forwarding, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of international courier/logistics operations.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Leadership and team-management abilities.
- Strong sales and business-development skills.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and logistics software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of international shipment documentation and customs procedures is an advantage.

Working Conditions The Branch Manager may be required to coordinate with customers, staff, warehouses, transporters, courier partners, and international logistics teams outside normal working hours when urgent shipment or operational issues arise. Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
