Full – Automobile Bodyshop Advisor

Key Responsibilities:

- Attend customers visiting the bodyshop and understand accident damage and repair requirements.
- Conduct detailed vehicle walk-around inspections and record all visible damages.
- Open and maintain bodyshop job cards in DMS with accurate customer and vehicle details.
- Prepare repair estimates covering parts, denting, painting, labour, and other required work.
- Explain repair scope, estimated cost, insurance process, and expected delivery timelines to customers.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and surveyors for inspections, approvals, supplements, and claim documentation.
- Obtain customer approval for non-insurance, depreciation, additional, or uncovered repair costs.
- Coordinate with denters, painters, technicians, parts, insurance, and workshop supervisors for timely completion of repairs.
- Monitor repair progress and regularly update customers regarding vehicle status and expected delivery.
- Identify additional damage discovered during repairs and obtain necessary approvals before proceeding.
- Ensure required parts are ordered and available to minimise repair delays.
- Coordinate final quality inspection before vehicle delivery.
- Explain completed repairs, insurance settlement, customer liability, and final invoice at delivery.
- Maintain complete records of estimates, approvals, insurance documents, repairs, and customer communication in DMS.
- Follow up with customers after delivery and assist with complaint resolution.

Required Qualifications & Experience:





- 1–4 years of experience as a Bodyshop Advisor in an automobile dealership
- Diploma/ITI/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Experience handling motor insurance claims and surveyors will be preferred.

Required Skills:

- Good understanding of automobile body repairs, denting, painting, and accident repair processes.
- Ability to inspect vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Basic understanding of motor insurance claims, depreciation, survey, and approval processes.
- Strong customer handling and communication skills.
- Good coordination and follow-up ability.
- Comfortable using DMS and basic computer applications.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with insurance companies, surveyors, technicians, and parts departments.
- Valuable problem-solving and complaint-handling skills.
- Strong focus on repair quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driving licence preferred.

- Bodyshop revenue.
- Number of vehicles handled.
- Average repair order value.
- Estimate-to-approval conversion.
- Insurance claim approval turnaround time.
- Bodyshop repair turnaround time (TAT).
- On-time vehicle delivery.

- Repair quality and repeat repair percentage.

- Customer complaint resolution.
