Bartender Job Profile A Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing friendly and efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, spirits, and other beverages.

- Take customer orders and provide recommendations when required.

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar, equipment, and work area.

- Check stock levels and assist with inventory management.

- Follow standard recipes, portion controls, and beverage presentation standards.

- Handle cash, card payments, and billing accurately.

- Verify the age of customers when required and follow responsible alcohol-service procedures.

- Provide professional and courteous service to guests.

- Coordinate with the kitchen, waitstaff, and other hotel/restaurant departments.

- Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.





- Prepare the bar before service and clean and close the bar after service.

Required Skills

- Good communication and customer-service skills.

- Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar equipment.

- Ability to work quickly under pressure.

- Basic knowledge of inventory and cash handling.

- Positive grooming and personal hygiene.

Typical Qualifications

- High school/12th grade or equivalent is commonly preferred.

- Bartending or hospitality training is an advantage.

- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar, club, or resort is preferred.
