Role Description The Part-Time Accountant / Auditor will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and financial record-keeping activities at The Chef Restaurant in Bhubaneswar. The role includes checking daily sales and expense records, handling and monitoring the Petpooja POS system, reconciling cash, UPI, card and online payments, verifying purchase bills and vendor invoices, and maintaining basic accounting records. The candidate will also assist in checking sales, purchases, expenses, inventory records and identifying any discrepancies.

This is a part-time, on-site prospect suitable for both freshers and experienced candidates. B.Com and MBA Accounting/Finance students who are interested in gaining practical industry experience alongside their studies are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of Accounting principles and accounting practices is mandatory.
- Good computer knowledge and the ability to work with accounting and office software are required.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel is required.




- Knowledge of Tally and other accounting software will be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience of Petpooja/POS systems is preferred.
- Ability to check and reconcile daily sales, cash, UPI, card and online payment records.
- Basic understanding of purchase bills, invoices, expenses, vendor records and inventory is preferred.
- Good attention to detail, accuracy, calculation and problem-solving skills.
- Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
- B.Com students and MBA students specializing in Accounting or Finance can apply.
- Candidates currently pursuing their studies are welcome to apply, provided they have a valuable understanding of Accounts and are interested in gaining practical experience.
- Candidates must have their own laptop and should be comfortable working on a computer.
- Candidates with previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail or similar accounting environments will be preferred.
- Good communication skills, responsible attitude and willingness to learn are important.
- This opportunity provides practical hands-on learning in real-time restaurant accounting, Petpooja operations, sales reconciliation, purchase records, expenses and basic audit processes.
