Role: Independent Auditor – Energy, Environment & Sustainability

Experience Required: 3 - 4 Years

Location & Work Type: Remote with travel to manufacturing facilities (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and conduct remote and on-site assessments, managing agendas, document requests, and sampling plans.

· Verify factory fuel and energy claims against source documents (utility bills, invoices, delivery logs, stock registers).

· Inspect physical equipment including boilers, generators, thermal systems, meters, and solar installations.

· Reconcile reported vs. actual energy consumption/generation to catch data gaps, inconsistencies, and trends.

· Assess internal controls and data collection processes to identify weaknesses in environmental traceability.

· Review renewable electricity documentation, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and generation certificates.

· Write concise, defensible audit reports outlining scope, calculations, findings, and evidence-based conclusions.

· Engage with factory teams and stakeholders to review additional evidence and resolve outstanding issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Background: 3+ years in energy/environmental auditing, sustainability verification,



or technical assurance.

· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial utilities, energy systems, and metering.

· Analytical Skills: Advanced spreadsheet and reconciliation skills to audit complex operational data.

· Communication: Ability to interview cross-functional plant teams (engineering, production, stores, accounts) and write clear reports in English.

· Education: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Sustainability, or equivalent experience.

Preferred / Bonus Experience

· Audit experience in textiles or other manufacturing sectors.

· Hands-on exposure to GHG verification, renewable energy documentation, or EMS/EnMS audits.

· Relevant qualified auditor certifications.
