The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I;) Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, installation, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems for projects within the process industry. This includes ensuring that the electrical and instrumentation systems are designed, installed, and tested in compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The role requires coordination between internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of projects from concept to handover

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Coordination:

- Lead electrical and instrumentation design and execution activities for assigned projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with project managers.
- Coordinate the activities of internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing issues and delays.
- Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet project deadlines.

Design & Engineering:

- Review and approve electrical and instrumentation design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure the electrical and instrumentation designs are in line with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to design teams for the development of control systems, power distribution systems, field instruments, and automation systems.
- Perform calculations and design analysis for electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure they meet functional and safety requirements.
- Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Manage procurement of electrical and instrumentation materials, equipment, and services.
- Evaluate and select suppliers and contractors,



ensuring they meet project and quality standards.
- Review and approve vendor technical submittals, bids, and proposals.
- Monitor vendor and supplier performance to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services according to the project schedule.

Installation & Commissioning:

- Oversee the installation of electrical and instrumentation systems in office, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Lead the commissioning, testing, and calibration of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the installation or commissioning phases.

Safety & Quality Assurance:

- Ensure that all electrical and instrumentation work complies with safety standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
- Develop and implement safety procedures for the handling and installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the project meets quality standards and adheres to regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of design changes, project progress, technical issues, and solutions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the project manager and senior management, highlighting project status, risks, and issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, test results,



and commissioning reports.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, process) to ensure alignment of project requirements and smooth execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and suppliers to address any technical or project-related issues.
- Provide technical support to the operations and maintenance teams during handover and post-commissioning phases.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design, execution, and commissioning in the process industry.
- Hands-on experience with electrical power distribution, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies•
- Ensure proper documentation of as-built drawings, test results, and commissioning reports.

Collaboration & Communication:

- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, process) to ensure alignment of project requirements and smooth execution.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and suppliers to address any technical or project-related issues.
