Description Associate AI Engineering role on MSCI Data AI Engineering, a central team building data-centric applications and AI-driven data quality capabilities across MSCI business verticals. The role focuses on trusted data, scalable AI solutions, and collaboration across product and technology teams.

Experience

- 6+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering
- Proven track record of finding patterns in data
- Experience building statistical models
- Experience driving data exploration at scale
- Experience with data visualization at scale
- Experience with data mining at scale
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI and ML solutions to production
- Experience owning architecture and scalability decisions
- Solid hands-on experience in Python
- Strong hands-on experience in NLP
- Deep expertise in anomaly detection methodologies
- Experience in statistical techniques for anomaly detection
- Experience in ML-based approaches for anomaly detection
- Experience in AI-driven detection systems for anomaly detection
- Experience with cloud-based solutions, especially Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience deploying and scaling ML workloads in production




- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Experience leading technical initiatives
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Strong sense of ownership
- Drive toward delivery

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of AI and data science applications
- Drive MSCI’s ongoing AI adoption journey
- Set technical direction for the data quality team
- Implement ML, NLP, GenAI, and Agentic AI capabilities
- Implement advanced anomaly detection methodologies
- Deliver new functionality for the internal production platform
- Deliver new functionality for the client delivery platform
- Partner with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Data Operations, and IT Infrastructure
- Influence roadmap priorities
- Ensure reliable, high-quality, and scalable solutions
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Strengthen the team’s AI/ML and data quality capabilities

- Support robust AI-driven data quality enhancements




- Ensure downstream analytics, models, and client-facing solutions are built on trusted data
- Work alongside highly motivated professionals
- Help challenge and elevate the group to produce best-in-class products and technology
