Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for driving sales of life insurance products and achieving assigned business targets. Daily activities include meeting prospective and existing customers, understanding their financial needs, and recommending suitable insurance solutions. The role involves managing and supporting a small sales team or a group of channel partners, monitoring performance, and ensuring consistent follow-up on leads.

Manager will coordinate with branch and regional teams, prepare sales reports, and maintain accurate documentation in line with company processes. This position also includes participating in sales campaigns, training sessions, and local market activities to strengthen brand presence and customer relationships.

Qualifications

- Proven ability in sales, customer relationship management, and basic financial advisory for retail customers.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for client interactions and team coordination.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office tools and CRM or sales tracking systems for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work to targets, manage time effectively, and maintain high standards of integrity and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; prior experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred.
- Comfort working on-site in Kolkata, with willingness to conduct field visits and meet customers in person.
