Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up Indias first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for IT Infrastructure in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company's goal at Devanahalli, Bangalore Rural Manufacturing Location.
Job Location: Devanahalli, Bangalore Rural
Eligibility: This position is open only to BE/B.Tech (Engineering) candidates only. ITI, Diploma, and non-engineering graduates are not eligible to apply.
Position Summary The IT Infrastructure Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organizations entire technology infrastructure. This includes cloud environments, Physical & Virtual servers, networks, storage, telecommunications, and end-user computing platforms.
In this role, you will hands-on technical expertise, guiding a team of systems and network engineers to ensure maximum uptime, optimal performance, and robust security across all systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of hybrid infrastructure (on-premises data centers and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of system administrators, network engineers, and support specialists. Act as the escalation point for technical issues.
- Architecture & Strategy: Partner with IT leadership to design and implement scalable, resilient,
and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that align with business growth.
- Network & Security Compliance: Ensure data integrity and network security by implementing robust firewalls, access controls, VPNs, and monitoring tools. Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Disaster Recovery & BC: Develop, maintain, and test comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) plans, ensuring regular backups and failover capabilities.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ISPs, and service providers. Assist in forecasting infrastructure capacity needs and managing the hardware/software budget.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 8-12 + years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2–3 years in a team lead, senior engineer, or supervisory role.
- Cloud & Virtualization: De expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Networking: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing, switching, firewalls, and SD-WAN.
- Systems Management: Proficient in Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise storage (SAN/NAS).
- Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL framework, Agile project management
- Working Knowledge of Vendor Neutral Audio and Video conference Systems
Preferred Certifications (Possessing one or more of the following is highly advantageous)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- ITIL Foundation or Practitioner Certification
