About External Finance Department The current opening is for the External Finance department of our firm.
External
Finance serves as the primary point of contact for finance-related matters for multinational companies, both in India and on global level. These companies often do not have a dedicated Finance Department, as External Finance assumes full responsibility for all finance-related tasks. The core responsibilities of External Finance include maintaining accurate books of accounts, accurate payroll processing, ensuring compliance with internal corporate policies and applicable regulations, and managing the financial, tax and regulatory reporting as applicable throughout the year.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Manager (CA) to day-to-day finance operations, payroll processing, month-end close, reconciliations, statutory compliance, tax support, audit coordination, and management reporting for our corporate clients. The role requires strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving skills, and experience managing multi-entity finance activities in a energetic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Close & Reporting
- Lead monthly and quarterly close activities including coordination with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to reporting timelines
- Regular & thorough review of the books including revenue, cost, OPEX, and balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Act as a primary point of contact for finance-related queries and support cross functional collaboration
- Support management reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights for stakeholders
Payroll, Tax Compliance & Audit
- Oversee and support payroll processing, including coordination with HR/payroll vendors, review of payroll outputs, and related reconciliations and statutory compliance
- Managing tax and compliance activities including GST and TDS payment and reporting, tax accruals, annual tax compliances, transfer pricing support, and audit deliverables
- Prepare reconciliations and schedules required for audits and tax filings
- Liaison with auditors and internal stakeholders to address queries and ensure timely closure
Controls & process improvements
- Oversee account reconciliations, internal controls, allocations, and intercompany activities.
- Monitor AR/AP ageing, support clean-up initiatives, and maintain strong financial controls and documentation
- Drive process improvements, including identification and implementation of automation opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within finance operations.
- Support standardization and optimization of finance workflows through use of systems, tools, and automation initiatives.
Team & stakeholder management
- Guide and review work performed by junior team members
- Provide time-to-time training to ensure quality outputs and overall skill development
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Qualified CA
Experience: 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in accounting & finance roles
Technical Skills:
- Proven ability to effectively manage the finance in areas of accounting, compliance, audits and taxation, preferably having a multi-national experience.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
