Role: Architect - Design Engineer

Work Location: Palavaram, Chennai

Office Timings: 9.30 AM to 6.30 PM (Business as usual during alternate Saturdays)

Role & responsibilities

- Develop and review architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, room data sheets and finish schedules.
- Prepare space plans and building layouts considering process flow, equipment access, personnel movement, maintenance and future expansion.
- Coordinate architectural design with civil, structural, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, piping, utilities and process-equipment requirements.
- Review BEC consultant, contractor and vendor drawings; consolidate comments and track closure of review points.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building, fire-life-safety, accessibility, industrial and local statutory requirements.
- Participate in BIM/model reviews, clash-detection sessions, constructability reviews and 30%, 60% and 90% design reviews.




- Prepare and maintain design registers, material/finish specifications, design-change records and as-built documentation.
- Provide site support for architectural works, resolve technical queries and verify installation against approved drawings.
- Coordinate sample, material and mock-up reviews and support quality inspections and handover documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch). Valid skilled registration where legally required.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant design and engineering experience in industrial or EPC projects.
- Experience in solar manufacturing, semiconductor, battery, pharmaceutical, chemical, power, oil & gas or comparable manufacturing facilities is preferred.
- Experience in both design-office coordination and site/construction support is desirable.
