Key Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries using PostgreSQL and Google BigQuery for robust data extraction and analysis.
- Develop and manage advanced database objects including stored procedures, functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), joins, window functions,
and aggregations to facilitate comprehensive data insights.
- Perform meticulous data extraction, transformation, validation, and in-depth analysis from diverse database sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Design, develop, and automate daily, weekly, and monthly Management Information System (MIS) and operational reports, reducing manual effort.
- Prepare and deliver timely, accurate data and analytical reports to various business stakeholders and senior management.
- Systematically validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve data quality issues to maintain data integrity.
- Create and maintain reusable SQL scripts and procedures to enhance reporting efficiency and standardization.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective SQL-based solutions.
- Monitor automated reporting processes to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of all scheduled reports.
- Continuously optimize existing queries and reporting processes for improved performance and efficiency, embracing best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven professional experience of 2 to 7 years in a dedicated Data Analyst role, with a strong focus on SQL and database technologies.
- Exceptional proficiency in advanced SQL, including extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Google BigQuery.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, CTEs, joins, window functions, subqueries, and aggregations.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with data validation, reconciliation, and ensuring data quality.
- Experience in report automation and the development of MIS and operational reporting systems.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and presentation.
- Experience working with large datasets and a basic understanding of ETL processes or data pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather requirements and present complex data insights clearly.
