Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in process transformation, consulting, AI delivery, digital transformation, business architecture, product engineering or operational excellence
- Experience conducting process discovery, baseline measurement, value assessment and business case development
- Experience building prototypes or MVPs using Microsoft AI platforms, enterprise automation tools or approved open-source technologies
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, automation, data products and responsible AI considerations
- Experience working across business, technology, data, governance, risk and operations teams in a regulated environment
Responsibilities
- Discover, assess, prototype and redesign end-to-end business processes using AI, GenAI, agentic AI, automation and data products
- Translate current-state process pain points into future-state AI-enabled operating models aligned to a North Star 2030 vision
- Support the AI transformation agenda by identifying processes that can be materially improved or reimagined
- Apply a 2030-forward mindset to design simpler, faster, more intelligent and better controlled operating models
- Assess emerging AI capabilities, Microsoft AI tools, open-source models and reusable enterprise patterns
- Contribute to reusable AI design patterns, prototype assets, discovery methods, value frameworks and process redesign playbooks
- Conduct structured process discovery with process owners, product owners, SMEs, operations teams and technology partners
- Map end-to-end processes including upstream inputs, workflow steps, systems, decisions, controls, handoffs, rework, exceptions, downstream outputs and user experience
- Identify process friction, manual effort, delays, duplication, control gaps, data issues, knowledge gaps and decision bottlenecks
- Assess business value across productivity, capacity release, cycle-time reduction, cost avoidance, quality improvement, risk reduction, improved control effectiveness and decision support
- Create value hypotheses and business cases supported by quantified benefit assumptions, baseline metrics and prioritization rationale
- Establish baseline metrics for current-state processes including volume, effort, cycle time, SLA performance, error rates, rework, control breaks, cost per transaction and productivity measures
- Assess data readiness by reviewing data availability, quality, lineage, ownership, access pathways, source systems, unstructured content, knowledge repositories and remediation needs
- Determine the right AI tool or solution pattern for the business problem
- Perform build, buy, reuse or partner assessments and recommend the most appropriate path
- Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts and minimum viable solutions using Microsoft AI suites, approved enterprise platforms or open-source models
- Redesign the end-to-end process into a North Star 2030 blueprint with future-state human plus AI operating model, agent-in-the-loop and human-in-the-loop controls, decision flow, data dependencies and adoption approach
- Ensure proposed AI solutions are designed in line with responsible AI, model risk, data privacy, security, operational resilience, conduct and regulatory expectations
- Identify process, data, model, control, adoption, operational and implementation risks during discovery, prototyping and future-state design
- Build human oversight, control checkpoints, usage boundaries, monitoring requirements and escalation points into solution designs
- Partner with governance, risk, compliance and assurance stakeholders to ensure prototypes and scalable solutions are evidence-led, controlled and auditable
- Maintain clear documentation of process discovery outputs, baseline metrics, value assessments, data readiness findings, solution fitment decisions, prototype results and North Star process designs
- Support AI stage-gate forums and governance reviews with evidence-based recommendations on prioritisation, investment, progression, redesign or retirement
- Track expected and realised value against agreed baselines and success measures
- Ensure AI initiatives are traceable from problem statement to value case, prototype, future-state design and adoption plan
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
- Lead or support the relevant business/function/team to achieve outcomes aligned to Conduct Principles, where applicable
