Role Description This is a full time, on-site Robotics Engineer role based at Indore Institute of Science and Technology in Indore.

The Robotics

Engineer will design, develop, and test robotic systems for educational, research, and applied engineering projects, including process automation and experimental setups. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and students on project requirements, modeling and simulating robotic mechanisms, integrating hardware and software components, and troubleshooting system performance. The role involves writing clean, maintainable code for control systems, documenting designs and experimental results,



and supporting laboratory sessions and workshops focused on robotics and automation.

The Robotics

Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Robotics and Process Automation, including system design, integration, and control of robotic platforms.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize system performance, and solve complex engineering problems.
- Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills relevant to robotics, such as programming in languages like C/C++, Python, or MATLAB and working with embedded systems or ROS.
- Strong hands-on experience with ROS / ROS2 (Robot Operating System).
- Familiarity with simulation tools like Gazebo, Webots, or MATLAB.
- Experience integrating sensors (LiDAR, IMUs, cameras) and computer vision frameworks (OpenCV).
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor students, and document technical work clearly.
- Master’s degree in Mandatory.
- Experience with sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and control algorithms is highly beneficial.
- Exposure to CAD tools, simulation software, and laboratory instrumentation is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment, manage multiple projects, and meet research and development timelines.
