Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to independently manage the day-to-day operations of a kids apparel manufacturing unit producing products such as jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts, lowers and tops.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complete production from fabric/raw-material receipt to finished garment and packing.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans and ensure targets are achieved.

Manage cutting, stitching, finishing, ironing, QC and packing departments.

Allocate work to operators, helpers, tailors and supervisors.

Monitor operator productivity, machine utilization and production efficiency.

Ensure fabric, trims, thread, buttons, zippers, labels and other materials are available before production.

Coordinate with the fashion designer/pattern master for samples, patterns, measurements and production approvals.

Control fabric consumption, wastage, rejection, rework and production costs.

Maintain consistent quality and kidswear sizing standards.

Track daily output: planned quantity vs actual quantity.

Manage production of multiple categories including denim and knitwear.

Coordinate machine maintenance and minimize production downtime.





Maintain production records, stock movement and work-in-progress (WIP).

Ensure orders are completed and dispatched within committed timelines.

Train, supervise and maintain discipline among factory workers.

Coordinate with management, purchase, inventory, QC and sales teams.

Preferred Candidate

Experience: 5–10 years in garment/apparel manufacturing, preferably kidswear, denim and knitwear.

Skills: Robust knowledge of garment production, sewing machines, line planning, quality control, manpower management, fabric consumption and production costing.

Preferred background: Candidate who has previously managed a small-to-medium apparel manufacturing unit and can establish production systems from the initial stage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Production Manager performance will be measured on pieces produced per day/month, on-time delivery, production cost per piece, rejection/rework %, fabric wastage, worker productivity and overall factory efficiency.
