Position Overview

Support environmental and social safeguard compliance, field-level monitoring and maintenance of safeguard documentation for CITIIS 2.0 activities.

Key Responsibilities
Support compliance with applicable environmental and social safeguard requirements
Review E&S; aspects of DPRs, technical documents, work plans and reports
Identify environmental and social risks associated with project activities
Undertake field inspections and document compliance observations Maintain safeguard monitoring records and checklists
Coordinate safeguard matters with the project team, contractors and relevant agencies
Track issues and support corrective actions and follow-up
Provide E&S; inputs to progress reports and CITIIS platform reporting Support stakeholder consultations on environmental or social matters
Assist with safeguard-related workshops and capacity building





Minimum Qualification and Key Competencies Degree or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related field.

Minimum 5 years Experience in environmental/social safeguards and urban projects preferred. Relevant backgrounds include safeguard compliance, environmental monitoring, environmental management plans, site inspections and government project documentation.
