About the Role

We are looking for a agile leader to head the Buying function for our Womens Wear category. The role demands robust commercial acumen, deep understanding of market trends, customer requirements, fabrics, and price points, and the ability to make strategic buying decisions. While the primary focus will be Buying (80–90%), the role will also oversee Designing (10–20%) to ensure product alignment with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Buying strategy for Women’s Wear across categories.
Analyze market trends and customer insights to drive assortment planning.
Balance quality and price point considerations in all buying decisions.
Collaborate with design teams to contribute to product development.
Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.




Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks.
Drive seasonal buying, inventory management, and margin optimization.
Lead and mentor the buying team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.

Candidate Profile
Women candidates with 15+ years of solid experience in Buying (Women’s Wear).
Proven track record in fashion & lifestyle retail industry (department stores, specialty fashion retailers, women’s wear brands).
Robust commercial acumen with exposure to design function.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage teams and processes.
