Kaathmill by Aakash is a brand built on over 35 years of craftsmanship, creating bespoke furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, wall panelling and architectural woodwork for residential, hospitality and commercial spaces.
We’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our team and work closely across design and execution.
What you’ll be working on
Assisting with interior design and space planning
Designing kitchens, wardrobes, furniture and other interior elements
Developing concepts and design solutions based on project requirements
Preparing 2D layouts, working drawings and detailed drawings
Working on material, finish and hardware selections
Creating moodboards, presentations and 3D views
Assisting with site visits, measurements and site coordination
Coordinating with the senior design, production and execution teams
Understanding how designs translate from drawings into finished furniture and spaces
Making revisions and developing designs based on feedback
What we’re looking for
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
0–2 years of relevant experience
Good understanding of space planning, furniture, materials and detailing
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D softwares
Strong visual sense and attention to detail
Good understanding of dimensions and practical execution
Someone who is keen to learn and interested in both interiors and furniture design
This is a hands-on prospect to work across interiors, bespoke furniture, materials and craftsmanship, and understand the process from design development to execution.
