Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and EHS management systems.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across plant areas.
Identify workplace hazards and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety standards.
Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols at the shop floor.
Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and evacuation programs.
Maintain safety records, permits, compliance documents, and audit reports.
Monitor contractor safety compliance during project and maintenance activities.
Support implementation of ISO 45001 and other safety management systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance.
Coordinate with department heads to achieve organizational safety objectives.
Key Skills Required
Robust knowledge of Industrial Safety and EHS practices.
Understanding of statutory compliances, Factory Act, and safety regulations.
Experience in incident investigation and risk assessment.
Valuable communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
Solid observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
