Mechanical Design Engineer – Product Development & SolidWorks

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks, mechanical design, product R&D; and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities

- Design mechanical components, products and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Develop products from concept → design → prototype → production.




- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing and production drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances and BOMs.
- Work on product R&D;, design improvements and mechanical problem-solving.
- Research and develop practical engineering solutions for product requirements.
- Collaborate with prototyping and manufacturing teams to develop production-ready designs.
- Modify and optimize designs based on prototype testing and manufacturing feedback.
- Apply basic DFM/DFA and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

- 2–3 years of experience in Mechanical Design / Product Development.
- Strong practical knowledge of SolidWorks – Part, Assembly & Drawing.
- Valuable mechanical drafting and engineering drawing skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, fits and tolerances.
- Good problem-solving and product development mindset.
- Experience with prototyping / 3D printing will be an advantage.
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
