Sample Collection &
Processing • Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other samples from OPD/IPD/employees (OHS).
Label and process specimens accurately for hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.
Ensure proper use of vacutainers, centrifuge, and sample transport.
Testing &
Reporting • Conduct lab investigations (e.g., CBC, LFT, RFT, blood sugar, ECG, audiometry, spirometry where applicable).
Operate analyzers, semi-auto and fully automated machines.
Maintain internal quality control and calibration logs.
Record and validate results before submission to doctors or OHS team. 3.
Occupational Health
Responsibilities • Perform periodic health check tests as part of pre-employment and annual health check-ups.
Maintain employee medical records confidentially.
Assist Occupational Health Physician in interpreting test results and managing surveillance programs. 4.
Infection
Control &
Safety • Adhere to biohazard safety, PPE protocols, and biomedical waste segregation.
Maintain sterility and hygiene in sample collection and lab areas.
Documentation &
Compliance • Update laboratory records, test logs, and reports in the Lab Information System (LIS).
Participate in NABH compliance activities and internal/external quality assessments (EQAS/IQAS).
Ensure proper stock keeping of reagents and consumables.
Coordination &
Communication • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, OHS team, and patients for smooth lab functioning.
Report critical values promptly to the relevant department.
