Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategic sourcing efforts for electrical commodities motors, cables, control panels, transformers, VFDs, etc.
Evaluate and onboard suppliers, perform technical and commercial evaluations, and maintain robust supplier relationships.
Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with business goals.
Conduct market intelligence, cost trend analysis, and track price fluctuations.
Execute contract negotiations, commercial terms finalization, and supplier performance reviews.
Apply TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) approach in procurement decisions to achieve long-term value.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure seamless integration of sourcing strategy.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through alternative sourcing, process optimization, and value engineering.
Utilize Excel and data analytics tools to generate insights and support decision-making.




Maintain procurement data and documentation in SAP and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required Skills and Experience:
B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5 to 8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement of electrical commodities in a manufacturing/engineering setup.
Deep understanding of electrical components used in overhead cranes and control systems.
Robust negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills.
Proven experience in supplier evaluation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
Working knowledge of sourcing tools, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and MS Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Solid market intelligence and supplier network in the electrical domain.
