Role & responsibilities
Manage day-to-day receipt, storage, identification and issue of engineering and automation materials.
Verify incoming materials against PO, delivery challan and invoice; prepare GRN and update ERP records.
Maintain accurate inventory records, bin locations, material tagging and stock reconciliation.
Issue materials to Production, Assembly, Projects and other departments based on approved requirements/BOM.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Purchase for critical and pending materials.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and maintain proper documentation.
Ensure proper storage, FIFO, 5S, housekeeping and material traceability.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Projects and Accounts for smooth material movement.
Preferred candidate profile
Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related discipline.
13 years of experience in Stores, Inventory or Materials Management, preferably in an engineering/manufacturing workplace.
Experience in automation, machine building, fabrication or engineering industries will be an advantage.
Positive knowledge of GRN, material issue/return, stock transfer and inventory reconciliation.
Working knowledge of ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
Basic understanding of engineering components, BOMs, part numbers and material specifications.
Good communication, coordination, follow-up and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to inventory control.
