Role Purpose

We are looking for a Storage & Backup Engineer – L1 to provide first-level monitoring and operational support for enterprise storage and backup infrastructure. The role involves ensuring backup success, storage availability, timely troubleshooting, and escalation of critical issues to L2/OEM teams.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech/BCA/MCA in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in storage, backup, NOC, or IT infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor SAN/NAS storage infrastructure, including capacity,



performance, and overall health.
Perform L1 troubleshooting of storage alerts and incidents.
Monitor Commvault, Veeam, or equivalent backup platforms and daily backup jobs.
Re-run failed backup jobs as per approved procedures and monitor repository capacity.
Perform basic backup restoration activities and support recovery testing.
Escalate critical storage and backup issues to L2/OEM teams within defined timelines.
Maintain daily backup and storage reports, schedules, inventory, and configuration documentation.
Follow established incident, change, escalation, and operational procedures.
Provide support for Disaster Recovery (DR) activities as required.
