Roles & Responsibilities
Teaching & Academic Delivery
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level Psychology courses.
Prepare lesson plans, course materials, presentations, and learning resources.
Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions.
Use appropriate teaching methods and digital learning tools.
Research & Publications
Conduct independent and team-oriented research in Psychology.
Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.
Guide students in research methodology, projects, dissertations, and theses.
Participate in conferences, seminars, FDPs, and research activities.
Student Mentoring & Guidance
Mentor students on academic and career-related matters.
Provide guidance for projects, internships, and research activities.
Monitor student academic progress and provide appropriate support.
Encourage students to participate in academic and research competitions.
Academic Administration
Prepare question papers, assignments, assessments, and evaluation reports.




Maintain academic records and submit reports within prescribed timelines.
Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning.
Assist in curriculum development and syllabus revision.
Departmental Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the Psychology Department.
Organize guest lectures, workshops, conferences, and awareness programmes.
Coordinate with other faculty members for academic activities.
Support accreditation, documentation, and quality-assurance activities.
Career development
Stay updated with recent developments and emerging trends in Psychology.
Participate in faculty development programmes, training, and professional associations.
Promote ethical practices in teaching, research, and student guidance.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform duties assigned by the Head of the Department / University authorities.
Maintain skilled conduct and confidentiality.
Contribute to institutional development and extension activities.
