Role & responsibilities
The Coding Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is primarily responsible for determining the appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes to be applied to patient accounts for billing purposes based on providers documentation in the patients medical record.

Preferred candidate profile
Assigns appropriate billing codes to patient accounts. Performs ongoing analysis of medical record documentation for completeness.
Provides feedback to Coders on coding discrepancies.
Provides feedback to Coding Supervisor on documentation deficiencies.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualification: ED Denial QA
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Three(3) years of Emergency Department (ED) and Hospitalist Medicine coding experience.
Certified Skilled Coder (CPC), or equivalent, preferred.

Qualification: Surgery QA
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Three(3) years of Medical Coding (Surgery) Experience
Certified Qualified Coder (CPC), or equivalent, preferred.
