Key Responsibilities
Prepare dialysis machines, equipment, supplies, and dialysis stations before each treatment.
Perform dialysis procedures under the supervision and direction of a nephrologist or qualified healthcare qualified.
Monitor patients' vital signs and condition before, during, and after dialysis.
Check dialysis equipment and ensure proper functioning before and during treatment.
Assist with patient preparation, including weighing patients and recording pre- and post-dialysis observations.
Follow prescribed dialysis treatment parameters and report any abnormalities immediately.
Recognize and respond appropriately to complications or emergencies during dialysis.
Maintain strict infection-control and aseptic techniques.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines and equipment according to hospital protocols.
Maintain accurate patient treatment records and document observations and procedures.
Monitor and maintain adequate stocks of dialysis supplies and consumables.
Assist nurses and doctors during procedures as required.
Educate and support patients regarding basic dialysis procedures and treatment-related instructions.
Dispose of biomedical waste safely according to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Participate in regular equipment maintenance, quality-control checks, and safety procedures.
Perform other duties assigned by the dialysis unit supervisor or medical team.
Required Qualifications
Diploma/degree or recognized certification in Dialysis Technology / Medical Dialysis Technology.
Relevant clinical training or internship in a dialysis unit.
Previous experience in a hospital or dialysis center is preferred.
Knowledge of dialysis machines, dialysis procedures, infection control, and patient monitoring.
Basic computer and medical-record documentation skills.
