Role Description The VFX Paint Artist is a full time, in office role based in Chennai. This role involves creating high-quality paint work, including wire, rig, and marker removal, clean-up, and restoration for feature films, series, and commercials. The artist will collaborate closely with compositing, roto, and matchmove teams to ensure seamless integration of painted elements.

Daily tasks include reviewing plates, understanding shot requirements, producing pixel-accurate paint fixes,



and maintaining consistency across sequences while meeting project timelines. The role also requires regular communication with supervisors and production staff to clarify creative expectations, address feedback, and uphold studio quality standards.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Paint and Painting skills, including clean plate creation, object removal, and detailed digital clean-up.
Candidates should possess solid Art and Animation foundations to understand composition, color, motion, and visual storytelling in VFX shots.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, artists, and production teams and to interpret feedback clearly.
Proficiency in industry-standard VFX tools (e.g., Nuke, Photoshop, Silhouette, or equivalent) and familiarity with studio pipelines is beneficial.
Ability to work on tight deadlines, maintain high attention to detail, and adapt to evolving creative and technical requirements is expected.
Prior experience as a VFX Paint or Prep Artist in film, TV, or OTT projects is preferred; relevant diploma or degree in VFX, Animation, or Fine Arts is an advantage.
