Turn Stories of Change Into Visuals People Remember.

Good design can make a message clearer.

Great design can make people feel something, understand something, and act on it.

At Lighthouse Communities Foundation, we work with underserved youth to create pathways to skills, employment, and sustainable livelihoods.

We are looking for a Junior Visual Designer to join our Communications team and help bring those stories to life.

From a social media post that makes someone stop scrolling, to a campaign that brings an issue into focus, to an event backdrop that makes an achievement feel meaningful — your work will help make the people, stories, and impact of Lighthouse more visible.

If you're early in your design career, have a strong visual eye, enjoy experimenting with ideas, and want your work to have a purpose beyond aesthetics, we'd love to see your portfolio.

About Lighthouse Communities Foundation

Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF) works in the areas of skilling, employability, and livelihoods for underserved youth.

Our Lighthouse model brings together Government, Corporates, NGOs, and Communities to create sustainable pathways towards socio-economic transformation.

We work through a Public-Private Partnership model where different stakeholders contribute their resources, expertise, and networks to create opportunities for young people.

Our work is guided by four values:

Empathy | Inclusion | Integrity | Courage

Your Role: Make Impact Visible

As a Junior Visual Designer, you'll work closely with the Communications team and internal stakeholders to turn ideas and briefs into clear, engaging, consistent, and purposeful visual communication.

Your work will span both digital and print, giving you the chance to build a diverse portfolio while working on real campaigns and organisational initiatives.

Not everything happens on a screen.

You will also create:

- Invitations
- Certificates

- Other print materials

You'll learn how to take a design from an initial concept to a production-ready asset.

- Understand creative briefs and the communication objective behind them.
- Explore different visual directions and concepts.

- Translate information and stories into simple, engaging visual narratives.
- Incorporate feedback and refine designs effectively.
